Version 0.3.14
Free download, no account needed. Windows (NVIDIA, AMD, Intel) and macOS (Apple Silicon).
This is a beta. It works, and it is tested on two machines: one with an NVIDIA card, one with AMD integrated graphics. Expect rough edges: a running computation cannot truly be stopped, and only Z-Image Turbo is recommended — the other models in the catalogue are hidden behind a “show more” link with a note on why.
Windows warns on first run. The installer is not code-signed yet, so SmartScreen shows “Windows protected your PC”. Click More info → Run anyway.
The ZIP holds two installer files. Unpack both into the same folder and run mlcsd-setup.exe; mlcsd-setup-1.bin must sit next to it. Updating from 0.3.x keeps models and settings.
Which graphics? Best with an NVIDIA card (CUDA 13.2, driver 580+): an RTX 3060 needs about 23 s per 1024×1024 image. New in 0.3.10: AMD and Intel graphics via Vulkan – a Radeon 780M needs about 2.5 minutes, with an up-to-date graphics driver (with AMD Adrenalin from 2024 it fails). The program picks the right engine by itself. Emergency without suitable graphics: processor only – works, but takes minutes to a quarter of an hour per image.
Windows asks once about the network. On the first server start a “Windows Security” window asks whether the image server may be reachable. Using it only on this PC: cancel is fine. Serving other PCs at home (e.g. MLC Ollama Studio): tick Private networks only. The ZIP contains a plain-language guide (German and English).
The model is not in the installer. The download is 446 MB; the weights (about 6.7 GB) come from Hugging Face on first start – one click on the start page, after a check that the disk has room, with progress, speed and remaining time; about 20 minutes on a typical line. Nothing is downloaded without asking. They land in your user profile, not in Program Files, and survive an update.
